At one time Norval was a thriving village with mills, hotels and several stores, later it became famous for Lucy Maud Montgomery's residency from 1926-1935. Today Norval is home to Lucy Maud Montgomery park, Willow Park Ecology Centre, Norval park as well as a few shops and restaurants.
This little hamlet has a special place in Sarah's heart! Norval is where she grew up, played with her friends, rode bikes, went fishing in the credit, caught frogs and made some of her fondest memories.
